comment on amylin: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/cagrilintide · 62 points · 2 years ago
Amylin is co-secreted with insulin and acts on satiety and gastric emptying through its own receptor complexes. An amylin analogue is therefore not a variant of an incretin agonist — it is a different signalling axis.
comment on reading meta threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/meta · 49 points · 2 years ago
Careful — that would make individual moderation cases public by default, which is worse for the person complaining.
comment on how much of what we believe about regain actually comes from lowest effective dose threads in c/maintenancephase · 58 points · 2 years ago
the trials that looked at withdrawal are unambiguous about what follows
comment on three years of special authorization threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1canada · 2 points · 2 years ago
I would not read one pharmacy’s cash price as the going rate. The spread is real.
comment on [Discussion] the batch advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/labresults · 40 points · 2 years ago
HJ BPC, batch matched the paperwork, VendorInvestigate came back 97.6% against a claimed 97.5%. Paid for it myself, posting it because the log is only worth anything if people do.
comment on [Lab] 5th independent test on HJ — 99.2% on a claimed 99.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/labresults · 89 points · 2 years ago
Disagree that this is a discrepancy. 99.4% against a claimed 99.0% is inside ordinary inter-lab variance in either direction.
comment on help me understand below spec, I have read the wiki twice in c/labresults · 16 points · 2 years ago
That reading assumes area percent and net peptide content are the same number. They are not, and the report says which it is.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring external review at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/insurancefights · 1 points · 2 years ago
Which country and which plan year are we talking about?
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring external review at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/insurancefights · 5 points · 2 years ago
the formulary is published, read it before you appeal
comment on [Discussion] ranking is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/meta · 3 points · 2 years ago
Yes — a proposal with concrete wording gets discussed. A complaint about the rules in general does not.
comment on does formulary actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/insurancefights · 13 points · 2 years ago
Small fix — external review is independent of the plan. The second-level internal appeal is not.
