if 0.5mg is working there is no prize for going up

Nothing on this board is legal advice. Where a notice carries a deadline or a consequence, that is a matter for somebody qualified in your own jurisdiction.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring method development at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/hplc · 624 points · 4 months ago

Resolution between two peaks depends on retention, selectivity and efficiency. A shallower gradient buys retention and usually resolution, at the cost of peak width and run time.

What did system suitability look like on that sequence?

comment on genuine question about moderation that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/meta · 3 points · 4 months ago

Vendor source pages carry an outbound link to the supplier’s own storefront, marked nofollow and sponsored, disclosed on the page and again on the funding page. Nothing is received for it.

What documentation accompanied the shipment?

A confidence interval is the range of effects compatible with the data.

Agreed. And the interval, not the point estimate, is what the trial actually established.

Cosigning on the no-links rule.

runa_grimaldi is right that the strict evidence rule is the asset, not the friction.

comment on [Discussion] the declared value advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/customs · 28 points · 4 months ago

Declared value and product description are chosen by the shipper. Asking what they use is a legitimate pre-order question and the answer tells you how routine this is for them.

comment on [Results] 94 weeks on 1.0mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/bpc157 · 11 points · 5 months ago

Regulatory classification differs between jurisdictions and has changed in several of them recently. Any answer to a status question needs a place and a date attached.

comment on someone explain FLOW to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/trialwatch · 7 points · 5 months ago

Compared myself to a trial mean for about six months before realising the trial arm had dietitian contact every fortnight.

Disagreeing with this line: that is a relative reduction and the absolute numbers are considerably less dramatic.

Is this about a policy or about an individual removal?

Disagreeing with this bit: making individual cases public by default is worse for the person being moderated.

That is a complaint rather than a proposal. Bring wording and it can actually be discussed.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about 2.4mg in c/semaglutide · 1 points · 5 months ago

That figure is the 68-week trial mean, not a weekly rate. Dividing it by the weeks gives you a number that does not mean anything.

comment on genuine question about chromatogram that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/hplc · 25 points · 5 months ago

Ran a blank after a high-concentration injection and found the carryover I had been calling an impurity.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about 2.4mg in c/semaglutide · 23 points · 5 months ago

Kept a log from week one and the single most useful column turned out to be waist, not weight.

permalink

Careful — you are treating retention time as identity. Two things can co-elute and the trace will not tell you.

permalink

comment on does plateau actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/semaglutide · 1 points · 6 months ago

Yes — and the honest version is that most of the "it stopped working" posts turn out to be a normal fortnight of water weight.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] external review is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/insurancefights · 49 points · 6 months ago

external review exists and almost nobody uses it

Adding the underused one — external review. Independent, binding where it applies, and hardly anybody gets that far.

comment on the lyophilised question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 31 points · 6 months ago

Not convinced.

Adding the practical version: ask which lines are held regionally before you order in July.

permalink

comment on the lyophilised question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 0 points · 6 months ago

Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.

Kept a vial at room temperature for eleven days by accident. Tested it out of guilt. It was fine.

comment on titration is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/semaglutide · 27 points · 6 months ago

Yes — and the honest version is that most of the "it stopped working" posts turn out to be a normal fortnight of water weight.

permalink

comment on SURPASS — 7 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/trialwatch · 2 points · 6 months ago

Small fix — that was the cardiovascular outcomes trial, so weight was a secondary endpoint and the population was different.

regulatory status varies by jurisdiction and it has moved recently

This is the point that should be at the top of every thread here. Identity first.

permalink

Right, and regulatory status has genuinely moved in several jurisdictions.

baseline_drifter is right that a pure something-else is still something else.

Nothing containing this compound is approved by any regulator, and research-use-only material is not approved for human use.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about seizure in c/customs · 4 points · 8 months ago

Kept every document including the dull ones. When a process started, having the dates in order made it short.

Have you asked the supplier what they declare?
