comment on anyone else notice basics kicking in around week 49 in c/newbiequestions · -25 points · 1 year ago
I confused two very similar words on my first order and asked here, expecting to be mocked. Three people explained it properly instead.
comment on [Results] 64 weeks, 15kg, and waist was the hard part in c/dosinglogs · 56 points · 1 year ago
A log is only interpretable if the conditions are consistent. Same day, same time, same state, same scale — otherwise you are recording measurement variability rather than change.

comment on switched from 0.25mg to 2.4mg and reflux got better, not worse in c/newbiequestions · 76 points · 1 year ago
I would not panic about that. It is on the list of ordinary first-month experiences.

comment on is it normal to get sulphur burps at week 17 in c/newbiequestions · 4 points · 1 year ago
The injection was scarier in my head than in reality. It took about ten seconds and I felt slightly silly afterwards.
comment on the TGA thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1aus · 31 points · 1 year ago
do not import US advice into an Australian thread
comment on help me understand dead space, I have read the wiki twice in c/reconstitution · 103 points · 1 year ago
Shook the first vial because nobody told me not to. It was fine, but I have swirled every one since.
comment on [Meta] the Australia rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1aus · 4 points · 1 year ago
Disagree — that is registration status, and the question was about subsidy. Different decisions, different bodies.
comment on the first time thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/newbiequestions · 5 points · 1 year ago
That is area percent from a certificate, not the amount of peptide in the vial. Two different numbers and a very common mix-up.
comment on why does nobody talk about shortage in c/glp1aus · 80 points · 2 years ago
Personal importation provisions exist, are narrow, and carry conditions. Any summary of them here should be checked against the current official wording rather than a forum post.
comment on help me understand first time, I have read the wiki twice in c/newbiequestions · 45 points · 2 years ago
Agreed that appetite moves before the scale. Knowing that in advance saves a lot of week-three panic.
comment on insulin syringe is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/reconstitution · 35 points · 2 years ago
label the vial with the date as well as the concentration
comment on how much of what we believe about Australia actually comes from New Zealand threads in c/glp1aus · 106 points · 2 years ago
Cosigning on asking the pharmacy to check the wholesaler. It converts speculation into a fact in one phone call.
comment on small win: what is stopped being a problem at week 72 in c/newbiequestions · 1 points · 2 years ago
Correction: the starting dose is a tolerance step rather than a treatment dose. The distinction is the answer to the question above.
comment on how much of what we believe about reconstitution actually comes from concentration threads in c/reconstitution · -16 points · 2 years ago
What concentration did you actually reconstitute at, rather than what did you intend to?

aim the stream at the glass wall, not at the cake
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify insulin syringe in c/reconstitution · 532 points · 2 years ago
Agreed on the swirl. There is no reason to shake it and a good reason not to.
comment on reading concentration threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/reconstitution · 32 points · 2 years ago
The arithmetic in full: concentration is mass over volume, so 5mg into 2mL gives 2.5mg/mL. A U-100 syringe is graduated at 100 units per millilitre, so 1mg is 1 divided by 2.5 millilitres, which is 40 units.
comment on does dead space actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/reconstitution · 166 points · 2 years ago
Right — the volume you add is the only variable you control here, and the cake does not change it meaningfully.
